How the New Tax Law and the Federal Budget Will Impact the Latino Community
Friday, April 13
In December, President Trump signed a new tax law giving huge tax cuts to the richest Americans and largest corporations, while doing very little for working families. Now, Trump and his allies in Congress are proposing budget cuts that would decimate investments to working families by slashing Medicaid, housing assistance, nutrition programs and other critical programs that help working families make ends meet when times are tough.
Please join UnidosUS policy experts and local community leaders in a discussion of the impact of the new tax law and current budget debate on the Latino community in Pennsylvania. The discussion will also include information on how the new tax law and current budget policies in Washington is impacting Puerto Rico and recently arrived evacuee population.
